It continues to be recognised as the world’s most innovative high-rise office building, enhancing the heart of Sydney CBD’s financial district, and delivering sustainable workspaces of the future.
1 Bligh’s sustainability initiatives include:
- During 2021, an 80kW solar PV array was retrofitted to the 1 Bligh rooftop to contribute to Dexus’ net zero emissions target and contribute to the achievement of Dexus’ RE100 commitment of 100% renewable energy by 2030.
- Paper/cardboard, bottles, cans and plastic containers
- Battery recycling, e-waste collections (quarterly basis)
- Organic waste recycling and oil recycling for retailers
- Secure paper destruction and recycling
- Coffee cup recycling to produce bench seats and car park wheel stops
- Soft plastics recycling
